Benches for rest are installed on the shore and a place for a bonfire is equipped. You rest and get warm by the fire, make tea at the stake. You can take a short walk along the path to the cliff.
One of the most recognizable sights of Lake Baikal. This is a large fragment of rock, protruding high above the water and in shape resembling the head of a huge turtle emerging from the lake. This rock is sacred for locals.

Legend of the turtle

Many thousands of years ago, in the depths of Lake Baikal, a large Turtle lived. She was a symbol of peace, kindness, and love, carefully preserved the white pearl, which protected Baikal from dark forces, especially from the Black Shaman.
When the Turtle found out that the Shaman wanted to take possession of the white pearl, she went down to the bottom of Lake Baikal and hid it in the depths of the lake. Turtle, left alone to defend Lake Baikal.

The turtle realized that it was very dangerous. But the fire of a brave heart burned in her, the fire of love for life, for the native waters of Lake Baikal - all this helped to resist evil.

Then, in the likeness of Angara, she went ashore, the Shaman mistook her for the daughter of Baikal and tried to abduct. But she thrust a dagger into Shaman's breast and the enemy was defeated.
The black pearl of evil powers was at the Turtle. Knowing that anyone who breaks a pearl will be petrified forever. Entering the water and making sure that Baikal is not in danger, she smashed the pearl against pitfalls and immediately petrified. The turtle has become a huge monument to a brave heart.

When the turtle comes to life

To this day, the Turtle stands in the water off the coast. The ghost of Baikal, in gratitude, presented one night in the spring full moon when the Turtle comes to life. But as soon as the morning star lights up in the sky, she turns into stone again.
